Short-Form Video Content

Block Short Form Content stops you from scrolling through reels and shorts once you hit a limit you set. You can cap by time, by video count, or both — and control exactly when and where the block applies.

Supported Apps

Block Short Form Content works in these apps:

  • Instagram (Reels)
  • Instagram lite
  • YouTube (Shorts)
  • Facebook (Reels) (experimental)
  • Tiktok

Curbox doesn’t endorse any mod apps or illegal activities. These have been added by community members to the project.

How It Works

ControlWhat it does
Active ScheduleDefines the time window(s) when the block is active. Short-form content is blocked during this period.
Usage Limit(Optional) Sets how long you can watch short-form videos during the active schedule before it blocks. Leave empty to block for the entire schedule window.
Configure Reel Count(Optional) Sets how many reels or shorts you can scroll through before the block triggers.
Allowed AppsApps excluded from this configuration — short-form content in these apps will not be blocked.

Setting It Up

  1. Open Short-Form Video Content Tap Reducers, then tap Short-Form Video Content.

  2. Toggle the main switch on The switch is at the top right of the screen.

  3. Set the Active Schedule Tap Active Schedule to define when the block should be active — which hours and days of the week.

  4. Set a Usage Limit (optional) Tap Usage Limit to cap total watch time during the active schedule. Leave empty to block for the entire window.

  5. Configure Reel Count (optional) Tap Configure Reel Count to set how many reels or shorts can be scrolled before the block triggers.

  6. Set Allowed Apps (optional) Tap Allowed Apps and select any apps that should be ignored by this configuration.
